Su Tong
A key figure of contemporary avant-garde literature and vice chairman of the Jiangsu Writers’ Association, Su’s most celebrated works include Wives and Concubines (Raise the Red Lantern in Michael Duke’s translation), Rice, The Boat to Redemption and Yellowbird Story. He has been a recipient of the Mao Dun Literature Prize, Lu Xun Literature Prize and the Man Asian Literary Prize.
