"One Belt One Road" - International Literature Forum
In May 2018, the Belt and Road International Literature Forum was successfully held in Nanjing coinciding with the launch of the Nanjing Literature Translation Sponsorship Program.
In May 2018, under the guidance of UNESCO, the Belt and Road Forum for Literature and International Youth Forum on Creativity and Heritage along the Silk Roads both took place during the Nanjing Historical and Cultural City Expo. Present at the forum was the Ethiopian youth representative Hannah Getachew who was nominated to write to President Xi on behalf of the youth ambassadors of the 40 countries in attendance. She received a kind and encouraging reply from the President, welcoming further exchange and cooperation in the future.
At the same expo, it was officially announced that Nanjing would become the permanent home for the Belt and Road Forum for Literature.
